The image, which is based on a picture contemporary to the suffragette era, is printed in vibrant colours. It features Santa Claus with the word Votes on his Christmas sacks. A choir of children looks on and a little choir girl greets him, amidst festive lanterns, snow and icicles. The image is printed in vibrant lithographic colours and is taken from a suffragette poster by artist Emily J. Harding Andrews. (Originally published by the Artists' Suffrage League). Image (in brown, gold and cream sepia) shows an educated woman, wearing cap and gown, and standing inside locked gates with a convict and a "lunatic".
