Image is taken from a suffragette poster and, in yellow, green and orange colours, depicts a woman in a rowing boat, struggling against the onslaught of a huge wave, whilst on the crest, a man sails along leisurely in a sail boat, without effort. (Sails are marked "Votes"). Houses of Parliament in the background. The image is printed in vibrant lithographic colours and is watermarked to prevent image theft. Blank interiors for your own message or for any occasion. The image of Mary Gawthorpe is taken from a contemporary photographic postcard, c. 1911. She was a leading suffragette from Yorkshire, who became the full-time organiser of the WSPU in Leeds in 1906.
