Blank interiors for your own message or for any occasion. The image is printed in vibrant colours and is taken from a suffragette poster, created by W.F. Winter, and originally produced by the Artists' Suffrage League (date unknown). Image (in shades of brown, cream and sand) shows weary and dejected British working woman at a sewing machine, with the slogan "Votes for Workers" beneath it. Printed with archival inks on premium paper (300 GSM, Silk Art, photographic print). Size of the paper is 450mm x 320mm, and image is approx 435mm x 305mm. Poster (in yellow, green and orange colours) depicts woman in a rowing boat, struggling against the onslaught of a huge wave, whilst on the crest, a man sails along leisurely in a sail boat, without effort. An extremely scarce title, for the collector. Very good, clean, tight copy. "Unknown Colour" by Andrew Nicholson, brings together all Winifred Nicholson's works for the first time and reproduces in colour the wide range of her paintings, conveying in words and images the essence of her art which is light, colour and radiance. Compiled by Andrew Nicholson. Winifred Nicholson (1893-1981), wife of Ben Nicholson, is particularly remembered for her exquisite flower studies - many of which were painted before a window. She often incorporated landscape elements from Cumberland, Cornwall and the South of France into her work. Also characteristic of her style was the abstract using an ellipse shape. Hardback. Top corner slightly bumped, otherwise very good+, clean bright copy.
