The image is taken from an attractive suffragette poster advertising "Votes for Women", the Pethick-Lawrence edited newspaper, founded in October 1907. The colours are green, grey, purple and white and the image depicts a suffragette in contemporary dress standing in a field and holding aloft a copy of the newspaper. Image (in shades of brown, cream and sand) shows weary and dejected British working woman at a sewing machine, with the slogan "Votes for Workers" beneath it.
